Career Summary
My early career saw me working for my dad’s financial planning company alongside my studies at the University of Birmingham. After graduation, I ventured into a marketing procurement start-p, followed by the corporate world of water, as an account manager at Severn Trent. But something was calling me back into financial planning, and I now aim to bring my passion for exceptional service to my role at Lucent.
My Role at Lucent
I joined Lucent as Client Service Team Manager in May 2024, which saw me managing the client service team, reviewing and streamlining many of our internal process, and getting stuck into a lot of data, checking that systems and files had been updated accurately.
Whilst I loved this experience, I had a yearning to get stuck in and learn more on the advice side of the business and I have now stepped into the role of Client Review Manager. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end journey for our ongoing clients. Whether it's booking them in for their annual meetings, assisting them with ad hoc queries and needs throughout the year, making sure the client files are accurate, or helping our advisers to write tailored recommendations, I'm all about ensuring that our clients have a smooth and seamless experience.
Why I Love Working at Lucent
It's not just about numbers and targets; it's about the people. We want the best for our clients, even if it means advising someone not to continue with us, because we know they'll be better off. That extends to wanting the best for our Lucent people, who truly make coming into work each day a joy.
Why I'm Passionate About Financial Planning
I feel that people often don’t understand the opportunities they have to maximise their finances and enable them to realise their life’s dreams. Being able to support people on that journey is super fulfilling.
My Qualifications
First Class Honours Degree in International Relations with Political Science
R01 Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics (a core unit for the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning)
